I was never extremely interested in the sport of indoor rowing until I tested out a Concept2 Indoor Rowing Machine. Like mast other pieces of aerobic workout equipment you notice at a health club, I presumed an indoor rower would be boring and not provide any muscle-building advantages.
I was incorrect
What I came to know was that indoor rowers provide several various workouts. They keep users from getting bored, which means they are more likely to continue their exercise regimen. Whether you are trying to lose weight or gain muscle or both, you will get results much faster when you workout regularly.
They are also extremely practical. I did not know how light-weight and easy one of these machines was to relocate until I picked it up and moved it across the room. I was able to do it nearly effortlessly with one hand. I was actually surprised. This element alone made me think it would be the perfect piece of home exercise gear. I could easily move it from room to room and afterwards keep it out of view when I was not using it.
I also had no problems hearing music or watching a good movie while exercising. I admit, often I prefer a distraction or an escape while I am exercising. With a loud piece of exercise equipment, you cannot hear music or watch a movie. Occasionally this results in no workout.
When I used to run frequently, I would complete a workout then have to integrate a strength-building regimen for my upper body. With the C2 Indoor Rower, I don't have to do that. All major muscle areas get a good workout on the rower, and in minimal time.
This gives me even more time to do other things that I enjoy. It also offers me much more motivation to exercise on a rower, considering that I know it will get me more results quicker than other alternative exercise regimens.
As you have probably noticed, I am a big fan of this rowing machine, but there is another thing I wish to mention. I like working out outdoors. Typically I don't like indoor workout classes or gyms. Nevertheless, due to the fact that the C2 is so lightweight and convenient to move, I simply roll it outside and take advantage of working out in the sunshine. If this is an issue that you are worried about, you do not need to be.
If you're thinking about investing in home exercise equipment, like an indoor rower, test one out initially. Numerous fitness centers have them, or your local exercise equipment shop may let you test drive one. Then, you can go shopping online to find the best offer on the device you want.
