You would be pleasantly surprised to see how fast and easily you can drop your weight when you reduce your carb intake. About working out, this may sound a bit different, but look for those that you honestly feel you can continue doing. Having a higher rate of retention in regards to your workouts will enable you to enjoy them more. There really is no good reason to punish your self by doing something you hate. Additionally, your perception is important as some are much better than others. If you like to keep tabs on things like your performance times then you can look at how well you're doing. The non-competing folks out there should not be too harsh on themselves if they feel that they are.
